South East, East Berks Area news

 East Berks meet on 2nd Tuesday, unfortunately our booking in February turned out to be Valentines Night, which didn't register until I got an invite to their Valentines Night "special menu" event. I phoned to ask if the standard menu would still be available only to be told our booking had been completely cancelled in favour of the "event". Had I not phoned we would have turned up on the night and there would have been a very unpleasant altercation.

Why hadn't they phoned or emailed me? They didn't have my details which is strange as every Monday before 2nd Tuesday they used to send me a reminder. And I'd also got the invite to the Valentines event. 20 years East Berks have been at the Shire Horse, but no more! Last 2nd Tuesday we tried out The Bird in Hand, next will be The Royal Oak and after that possibly Ye Olde Leather Bottle.
